Privatized Airport Development/Reconstruction
An RBR joint-venture project with Lagan Construction, large construction firm based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Lagan-RBR JV, secured and carried out a $ 25.7 million dollar project, placing the entire aggregate base course and all the concrete for the new 10-28 runway, taxiway and connector.
In 1998, Betteroad Asphalt and RBR Construction completed the reconstruction of Runway 8-26 of Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, Carolina PR. This was a $1,511,300.00 job that include the demolition of the existing three connectors and a portion of taxiway Sierra, stabilization of the foundation and placement of new fast setting concrete. That very same year RBR performed repairs on the runway of Mercedita Airport in Ponce, PR.
RBR also has a long history with the Puerto Rico Port Authority. We have completed projects ranging from replacement of existing sanitary storm sewer at the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport to installation of a new pump station and force sanitary line at Isla Grande Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
